As well as flights to Cacassonne Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) are now flying to
Perpignan which is an alternative destination for this region. St. Martin is about 734 miles from
Calais by road. It can be reached in 14 hours driving and we have done it in
much less.
Flying and car hire is a much less stressful option though and there will not be
that much difference in overall cost, especially if you would choose to
use the péages which cost around £40 each way! |
| Villa Martin is about 50 minutes from Salvaza the airport at Carcassonne and at least four car hire companies operate from the airport terminal. These include Hertz (bookable via Ryanair), Avis, Europcar & Budget. You can use their web sites to book a car before you leave. See the Links page. TIP: It is worth the driver on arrival going straight to the desk to collect the car, rather than wait for cases, as customer processing is usually fairly slow! |
