Villa Martin has it's own private swimming pool (approx 24' x 12') and patio surround. Villa Martin has also recently been structurally altered and refurbished. The front entrance door leads into the day room and fully fitted kitchen area with oak stairs to the next floor. The kitchen has an oven, hob, refrigerator with freezer compartment, and a microwave is also provided. The villa has a washing machine. Immediately outside the kitchen is a terrace, making it handy for serving meals and drinks. If you do not wish to cook there is a riverside restaurant in the next village (St. Pierre des Champs). The food is exceptional, the setting exceptional, and the owners speak good English. When closed, or as alternatives, Lagrasse has at least 3 good restaurants.

The first floor provides three bedrooms, two doubles and one single. A cot
& high chair are provided. Apart from two landing areas there is a bathroom/toilet which
provides a shower as well as a bath and wash basin.
There is also a separate toilet with entry from the rear terrace at ground level, which is ideal when using the pool. ELECTRIC HEATING is provided, and all services are included in the price. There are chairs and a table for the terrace areas and a barbeque is also provided. THIS IS A SMALL HAMLET of only about 16 dwellings (see pictures on this site). However, it is only 15 minutes away by car from the fabulous Lagrasse with its village shops, ATM machine, restaurants, tabac etc..........A get away from it all holiday villa, in the foot-hills of the Pyrénées.

In response to customer demand our weeks run from Wednesday to
Wednesday so that you can take advantage of the cheaper week-day fares
available by sea & air. Nevertheless if it
must be Saturday to Saturday, we will try our very best to oblige. July and
August is difficult though due to high demand!
Villa Martin is a detached villa in its own grounds
(approximately 1/4 acre). It is situated close to the incredible heritage village of
Lagrasse south
of a line between Carcassonne and Narbonne and is within easy reach from
Carcassonne or Perpignan via Ryanair etc.
Saint Martin is a hill top village and Villa Martin is the last but one house in the village and beyond there are just tracks into the hills. Below, from the terrace you can usually hear the river ORBIEU running as it passes the village. In springtime it is not unusual to hear the nightingales in the neighbouring trees. During the day butterflies of various types may fly around you and one specie may even stop to share your drink!
An opportunity to experience this fantastic 'newly discovered' area of France.
